Hey, I'm Mark Buckner, and I want to provide you with a February 2022 market update. In 2021, The Mark Buckner Group helped over 65 people find their place in Chicago. We specialize along the Blue Line, running from the West Loop into West Town, Wicker Park, Bucktown, Logan Square, Avondale, and Irving Park.

One thing to keep in mind is that the MLS is about a month or two behind before they're posting the market data.

Since December, we have seen the curve bouncing up with an increase in new listings under contract and properties going under contract since December. This is in line with exactly what my team, and I have been experiencing in the field. I have been seeing an increase in listings with some really nice options, but at the same time, seeing an increase in buyers out in the market.

We anticipate this year being crazier than last year, with an increase in demand. This means the inventory will fly off the handle, which is in line with what the data is showing from December to January. If you're not working with a broker who has access to exclusive listings and a private list network, you're missing out.
